Loveliescrushing
Formed in the early 1990s, Lovesliescrushing pushed shoegaze into near-abstract territory, layering heavily treated guitars into vast, enveloping walls of sound. Their 1993 debut Bloweyelashwish remains a benchmark for extreme texture-driven dream-pop, where melody dissolves into sustained distortion and reverberant wash.
Rather than traditional songcraft, the project centred on mood and immersion, aligning more with ambient composition than rock convention. This design captures that saturated, sensory overload aesthetic that defined the band’s brief but influential run.
