HÜSKER DÜ - SST Records tour, Philadelphia, Dec 16, 1983

CHF 14.85

The 1983 SST Records tour supported Metal Circus, a six-track EP that moved the Minneapolis trio toward longer song structures and more explicit melody without softening the volume. SST, founded by Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn in Lawndale, California, was at that point the primary infrastructure for American hardcore distribution and touring, with Minutemen, Meat Puppets, and Saccharine Trust on the same roster.

Bob Mould and Grant Hart shared songwriting and lead vocals, an arrangement that produced two distinct tonal registers within the same band. Zen Arcade, their double LP, followed in 1984.
