Electronic - Get The Message

£13.92

Electronic paired Bernard Sumner of New Order with Johnny Marr, whose previous band The Smiths had dissolved in 1987 following disputes over songwriting credits and management.

Their debut single "Getting Away with It" in 1989 featured Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys and reached number 12 in the UK. The self-titled debut album followed in 1991 on Factory Records, with Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk co-writing several tracks. "Get The Message" was the third single from that record, peaking at number 8 in the UK.

The project produced three albums before going dormant after "Twisted Tenderness" in 1999.
