Talking Heads - Tokyo, 1979
On July 19 and 20, 1979, Talking Heads performed at Nippon Seinenkan in Tokyo, presented by Tom’s Cabin Productions. These dates formed part of the band’s first major push into Japan, arriving shortly after More Songs About Buildings and Food and just before the release of Fear of Music. The shows marked a pivotal moment as the group’s art-school precision and rhythmic experimentation began resonating far beyond New York.
