Bob Marley's Civic Theater booking, promoted by California Concerts, places the Wailers in the mid-to-late 70's touring circuit that followed Island's stateside push through Natty Dread and Rastaman Vibration.
By this point the core band had stabilised around the Barrett brothers, Carlton and Aston, with Tyrone Downie and Al Anderson filling out a rhythm section that could hold extended live arrangements well beyond the studio takes. The I Threes, formed in 1974 from Rita Marley, Judy Mowatt, and Marcia Griffiths, travelled on all major tours from Natty Dread onward.
