Talking Heads - The Main Point, Pennsylvania, 1978

174,19 kr SEK

The Main Point in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania was a 300-capacity listening room that booked artists before they moved to larger venues; Bruce Springsteen recorded a radio broadcast there in 1974.

The May 5 and 6 dates, with two sets per night, place Talking Heads on the East Coast club circuit shortly after their formation at the Rhode Island School of Design. David Byrne, Chris Frantz, and Tina Weymouth had relocated to New York in 1974 and began performing at CBGB in 1975; Jerry Harrison joined from the Modern Lovers before the band signed to Sire Records, releasing Talking Heads: 77 in September of that year.
