On July 12 and 13, 1982, Talking Heads brought their expanded live production to Wembley Arena, sharing the bill with Tom Tom Club. By this stage, the band had evolved far beyond their CBGB beginnings, integrating polyrhythms, layered percussion and a larger ensemble that previewed the scale later captured in Stop Making Sense. Wembley marked the moment when downtown art-funk translated seamlessly to arena size, without losing precision or tension.
