David Bowie on Stage - The 1978 World Tour

£13.89

The Isolar II tour (also known as the On Stage tour) ran from March to December 1978, drawing its set almost entirely from Low and "Heroes," both recorded at Hansa Tonstudio in West Berlin with Brian Eno and Tony Visconti. Eno had been scheduled to join the live band but withdrew for health reasons; in his place, Adrian Belew took lead guitar, with Carlos Alomar as music director, Simon House on electric violin, Sean Mayes on piano, and Roger Powell handling synthesizer.

Three nights at the Providence Civic Center, Boston Garden, and Philadelphia Spectrum were recorded for the live double album Stage, released on RCA later that year. The tour closed at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on 12 December 1978.
