Talking Heads / B-52's — Freeborn Hall, UC Davis, October 1979

£13.91

Talking Heads released Fear of Music on Sire in August 1979, their third album and the first produced with Brian Eno at Blank Tapes and Sigma Sound in New York. The B-52s, from Athens, Georgia, had released their Sire debut two months earlier; both bands were on the same label and shared a New York downtown orbit.

Freeborn Hall at UC Davis held around 2,000 and was a regular stop on the Northern California college circuit. Jerry Harrison had joined full-time from the Modern Lovers by this point, stabilising the four-piece lineup that would record Remain in Light the following year.
