Their voices and streetwise humour became central to the early 1980s electro breakthrough “Buffalo Gals,” a track that introduced scratching and turntable culture to a wider global audience.
Releases from this period featured playful spoken-word exchanges, DJ routines and remixes like “World’s Famous Hobo Scratch,” blending downtown art culture, early hip-hop and Trevor Horn’s studio polish. The Supreme Team helped bridge underground Bronx DJ culture with the emerging global fascination for hip-hop and turntablism.
