FRANK ZAPPA — Armadillo World Headquarters, Austin, 1975

68,33 zł

The May 20 and 21 dates at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin were recorded for Bongo Fury, released on DiscReet Records in September 1975.

The album documented a reunion between Zappa and Captain Beefheart, born Don Van Vliet, who had appeared on the 1968 Mothers of Invention album We're Only in It for the Money and maintained an intermittent working relationship with Zappa since their high school years in Lancaster, California.

The Armadillo, opened in 1970 by Eddie Wilson, was the centre of Austin's progressive country and rock circuit before its demolition in 1981.
